Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant Teacher/ Floater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and individualized attention. This role requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including those with special needs.
Duties
- Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children.
- Engage children in educational activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and social interaction.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and behavior.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive teaching approach.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- A background in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience in caregiving or babysitting is beneficial.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous.
- Experience in toddler care is preferred.
