What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant position at The Learning Clinic, Inc.?
Duties: Provide instructional services to students in such a way as to implement the individual instructional program for those students assigned while under the direction and supervision of the teacher.
Responsibilities:
1. Be accountable to the teacher responsible for the particular IEP of individual students assigned to the Teacher Assistant.
2. Follow all policies and procedures of TLC.
3. Maintain appropriate behavior management procedures.
4. Provide supervision of students assigned at all times when the students are under their responsibility as defined by the schedule.
5. Maintain all responsibilities prescribed by the Redbook.
6. Maintain records and data keeping systems as related to each student assigned.
7. Participate in staff development workshops as required.
8. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and/or PPTs when requested.
9. Provide transportation, with the appropriate Public Service License, as directed.
10. Participate in field trips and wilderness activities when appropriate.
11. Assist in the residential setting as assigned in the mornings, school breaks, and snow days.
