We are looking for a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify root causes of machinery issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address recurring equipment issues.
Equipment Installation:
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and setup of machinery.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while working on equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Report equipment performance and recommend improvements to management.
Shift Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with 1st and 3rd shift teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide updates on completed tasks and ongoing issues during shift handovers.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, including conveyors, motors, PLCs, and HVAC systems.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
Certifications:
- Electrical or mechanical certifications are a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require standing, bending, or climbing
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial setting.
