What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector (Garment) position at First in Service?
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Garment Quality Control Inspector to ensure the accuracy and quality of garments before shipment to customers. This is a hands-on role that requires standing for extended periods while verifying measurements and garment specifications against cutting tickets. The inspector will work closely with the sewing factory to identify and correct any issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect finished garments to ensure they match the cutting ticket specifications.
- Use a tape measure to verify measurements and check for accuracy in sizing, stitching, and overall construction.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or discrepancies and coordinate necessary corrections with the sewing factory.
- Ensure all garments meet quality standards before they are approved for shipment.
- Communicate effectively with factory personnel to address and resolve any quality issues.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and quality control findings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in garment inspection, textile production, or sewing is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and industry terminology.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with factory workers and supervisors.
