The salary range for this position is $74,700 - $84,556. New hires typically start within this range based on their qualifications, experience, and considerations of internal equity.
Who You Are
You are an experienced Financial Decision Support Analyst with a passion for conducting research, performing financial and cost-benefit analyses, and deriving data-driven conclusions. You thrive on providing actionable recommendations that align with and support FIRST’s mission and goals. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Accounting, you will play a critical role in delivering key financial metrics, high-impact analysis, and insights to drive informed business decisions, operational effectiveness, and efficiency.
This role has the ability to be a remote working arrangement for the right candidate.

What You Will Do
You will perform detailed financial analyses and, with Gracious Professionalism®, will collaborate on building tools and methodologies to support strategic decision-making and operational effectiveness. Additionally, you will:
- Conduct Financial Analyses: Perform scenario planning, cost-benefit analyses, and trend analyses to support operations and initiatives.
- Build Reporting in ERP Tool: Design and develop reporting tools within the ERP system to track financial performance and metrics (NetSuite experience preferred but not required).
- Support Business Cases: Assist in developing business cases for strategic and operational projects and track financial metrics against business plans.
- Provide Liquidity Analysis: Contribute to short- and long-term liquidity analysis to support cash investment decision-making.
- Evaluate Organizational Health: Partner with management and field leadership to create methodologies for assessing financial and organizational health for field partners.
- Prepare Financial Presentations: Develop presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct Research: Research business operations and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify Best Practices: Use financial and statistical analysis tools to identify best practices and opportunities for performance improvement.
What We Expect
A professional with proven experience in financial analysis and reporting. Strong analytical skills, proficiency with Excel, and the ability to effectively communicate complex data. We are also seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Typically requires a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field and generally requires at least 5 years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated experience with scenario planning, cost-benefit analyses, and liquidity analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Previous involvement in developing business cases and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with statistical or financial analysis tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Ability to clearly present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel 5 - 10%.
