About the Position:
First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the human resources/financial industry. As a Knowledge Management & Development Intern at First Internet Bank, you will be responsible for helping to spearhead the Knowledge Base initiative within First Internet Bank. This role will partner with Human Resources and our Project Managers to enhance the trust in our shared knowledge, increase efficiencies within the organization, and assist with driving the implementation of this project.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with knowledge base administrators using front-end markup language to customize site navigation and create dynamic elements in service of user-focused design and usability.
- Content lifecycle management including creation, formatting, and /or revisions of a variety of content types to capture departmental processes and create new procedure documentation.
- Determine content presentation needs and partner with users and administrators to create and maintain approved templates.
- Meet with department stakeholders to create and update documentation, customize department sites, and solution for content presentation.
- Review existing related documentation and interview SMEs to develop new documentation.
- Assess the audience for whom the documentation is intended; adjust tone and technical terms used to ensure understanding.
- Plan and document processes, including customization, development, routing for approval, and publication.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current pursuant of an undergraduate or graduate degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Business Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field
- Experience with front-end web development - using HTML and CSS to build effective and responsive elements
- Familiar with knowledge management platforms such as Confluence, Sharepoint, Axero, ClickUp, ServiceNow, and Bloomfire
- Experience with work and project management tools such as Asana, Trello, and Jira
- Displays strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to conduct research and audience analysis, while also testing and debugging various implementations
- Affinity for writing, editing, and proofreading business documentation
- Financial industry, content migration, and UI/UX design experience a plus
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
