Position Summary:
The mission of the Information Security & Compliance Manager is to protect First Legal’s information assets by leading both security operations and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company systems through proactive threat management, regulatory compliance, and security best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effective implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and controls to reduce security risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Successful completion of internal and external audits (HIPAA, SOC 2, vendor security assessments) with minimal findings and clear remediation plans.
• Demonstrable improvements in the organization's security posture, including incident response efficiency, risk reduction, and system hardening.
• Security Tool Management: Configure, manage, and optimize security solutions, including Microsoft Defender, CATO Networks, Eramba GRC, and ManageEngine Security.
• Foster a security-conscious culture through training, awareness programs, and proactive risk mitigation strategies.
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in information security or related industry
• Proven Experience in Information Security Operations & GRC – Minimum 5 years of experience managing infosec programs, compliance policies, and security operations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and ManageEngine Security – This role requires managing security tools and incident response directly.
• Experience conducting security risk assessments and penetration testing.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance (HIPAA & State-Specific PII Laws) – Strong expertise in legal and regulatory security frameworks is essential.
• Hands-on experience with CATO Networks.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
