Job Description
The position is a part of a compliance team and helps maintain compliance with state and federal lending regulations for commercial and consumer loans. This position reports to the Compliance Officer.
Primary Responsibilities/Duties
- Review loan documents for regulatory compliance
- Perform periodic internal compliance audits
- Assist in compliance-related questions response and research
- Assist in audit and exam preparation and management
- Maintain current knowledge of new and changing regulatory requirements
- Create and present detailed memos and reports for Board and Management
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Policies and Procedures
- Provide consultation to Management and bank staff in the development of new and changing products and services
- Provide compliance training and job aids to staff as needed
- Completion of ongoing compliance continuing education, including required monthly assigned curriculum
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow through on commitments, meet deadlines and drive results
- Ability to effectively prioritize and work independently to meet regulatory requirements and deadlines
- Practical understanding of applicable legal documents, regulations, and statutes
- Understand and adhere to strict confidentiality rules and regulations regarding customer information
- Three years regulatory compliance experience in a financial institution
- College degree or equivalent relevant banking experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS: Sitting or standing for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. Professional office environment. Occasional lifting of storage boxes.
