Bank Teller (38-40 hours/week)

Our tellers provide excellent customer service by promptly greeting customers and assisting them or directing them to other departments as needed. Tellers accurately process routine financial transactions such as check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, making transfers, taking loan payments, and preparing gift cards, cashier checks, money orders and coin orders. Prior to completing any transaction the teller must follow identification and verification procedures to ensure all tickets/slips and required documentation is completed per bank regulations and procedures.

Additional teller responsibilities throughout the day include sort, distribute and process mail; balance their assigned drawer, the vault inventory and/or ATM; scan and process teller work into the system; and other various tasks.

PRIOR COMMUNITY BANK EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS!

A successful candidate must have all of the following minimum requirements:

• A major job requirement is being reliable, on-time to work and have consistent regular attendance.
• Must be able to work independently, stay focused, calm and keep a positive outlook
• Need at least 1 year of cash handling experience
• Minimum of 1 year prior work assisting customers in-person
• Basic math skills are required to balance and verify currency
• Ability to effectively write and speak English accurately and clearly is required
• Prior professional office environment experience is helpful
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion
• Have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Valid and current drivers’ license and insurance is required
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work and travel between the offices during the work day as requested or needed
• Must have transportation and any applicable insurance and/or licenses to be available, willing and able to work at two bank locations:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Availability Required

• Most of the time the position will be scheduled for about 40 hours per week but it could be more or less hours depending on operational needs.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime occasionally.
• Must be able to work Monday- Friday between 7:45 am - 5:15 pm. Typical shifts are 7:45 - 4:30 and 8:30 - 5:15.
• Must be able to work 2-3 Saturdays per month from 8:45 am – 12:15 pm.
• Required department meetings are held at 7:30 am one time per month.
