Summary:
This position is responsible for administering the Enterprise Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Platform (BCP) and implementing process improvement initiatives by leveraging tools, training/mentoring business unit coordinators, and providing thought leadership to further mature Business Continuity (BC) throughout the enterprise to ensure compliance with business objectives and regulations. Additionally, this position is responsible for planning and conducting regular mock disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies as well as acting as the coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

- Ensure Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans are created and/or updated and are improved to meet Company’s needs. Validate plan changes with live tests and tabletop exercises with various business units.
- Conduct meetings with all departments on a rotational basis to determine BC/DR readiness. Interface with line of business representatives to assist them in BC/DR plan development. Maintain any tools associated with the delivery of these duties.
- Identify enterprise-wide Business Process Workflows and develop contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption during incidents.
- Work with senior management to relay risk areas and the importance of BC/DR planning.
- Responsible for all BC/DR training programs for all departments and locations, documenting any gaps discovered, and facilitating closures as needed.
- Responsible for the Incident Response Plan that addresses disruption scenarios for the business.
- Serve as the senior enterprise advisor for all BC/DR functions and deliverables.
- Lead efforts on the development and delivery of emergency response programs.
- Maintain all backup solutions, including M365 backups. Test restoration/validity of backups to ensure that the restoration procedure is successful.
- Assist in monitoring systems and provide notification of critical system failures to senior infrastructure staff in a timely manner.
- Document vulnerabilities and incidents in the designated incident management tool.
- Job duties may evolve over time to meet company objectives.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on Computer Science required.
- Certification in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience managing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery efforts and programs in medium sized companies preferred.
- Financial Services experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, organizational skills and a proactive customer service approach.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and co-workers at all levels within the organization.
- Must be able to work both with a team and independently. Proven competencies in conflict resolution, leadership, adaptability and coordination.
- Proficient in Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Typical schedule M – F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some weekend and after-hours work may be required based on business need.
Salary : $44,000 - $52,000
