POSITION: Account Services Representative
FLSA designation: Non-Exempt
PURPOSE: This position is responsible for processing all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services; cross-selling the Bank's products and services; opening, maintaining and closing of all account types; promote business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff to meet other financial needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Responsible for opening new and renewing accounts.
- Cross-sell bank products and services appropriate to customer needs.
- Knowledge of the legal aspects, federal and bank regulatory requirements of new accounts, including IRAs.
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers both on the phone and those who walk in the bank.
- Be able to explain all services and products offered by the bank.
- Process negotiable instruments.
- Able to answer/support other branch personnel to complete new account procedures.
- Audit/Verify paperwork sent from other branch locations. Must be able to contact other associates with errors and help with a resolution.
- Answer customer questions, investigate and correct errors upon customers’ request.
- Balance personal and business checkbooks.
- Cross-train into Safe Deposit and Switchboard Operations.
- Miscellaneous filing and keeping new account area clean and safe.
- Keep brochure racks stocked with current brochures and information.
- Follow all other instruction and perform any other job- related duties.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Be able to compile, code, categorize, calculate, audit and verify information and data on a computer. Must have logic, reasoning and judgment making skills.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL
Knowledge of Windows based software.

Pay: From $16.38 per hour
