What will you be doing in this role?
- Operating a teller window to serve the Bank's customers by processing a variety of transactions with minimal errors. This includes, but is not limited to: accepting deposit and withdrawal requests, loan payments, verifying cash, signatures, identifying customers appropriately, and maintaining and balancing a cash drawer within established limits, while reporting discrepancies to Supervisor
- Opening new accounts, certificates of deposit, and other products offered by the Bank. Answering customer questions, providing account opening information, and ensuring that proper paperwork is completed and entered on the computer system
- Assists internal and external customers with account inquiries, product offerings, and support needs, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Supports back-office branch support functions, including data entry, aiding with the reconciliation of branch records, and assisting with reviewing new accounts and account maintenance daily (AEM).
- Assists with branch and operations initiatives, special projects, and initiatives led by commercial, operations, and retail management.
What will you need?
- High School graduate or equivalent required. Associate's degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- One to three years of job-related experience, preferably in banking or financial services. Experience in bank operations or retail banking preferred. Prior experience in teller operations, opening and servicing customer accounts and/or bank core system operation a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- To be a well-organized, detail-oriented, problem solver who shows strong initiative and learns and works quickly and accurately with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates an interest in banking and exhibits proficiency in all areas of teller and branch operations within first year of employment.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with ability to understand and carry out instructions, produce reports, organize information, speak clearly and effectively communicate information to customers, peers and management.
