Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and that funds are disbursed correctly. This position requires a strong understanding of financial services, title processing, and compliance regulations, as well as excellent communication skills to communicate with clients, lenders, and real estate agents. This is for the Pasco County area of New Port Richey, Trinity, Odessa, Land O Lakes and Wesley Chapel.
Responsibilities
- Manage the escrow process from initiation to closing, ensuring all documents are prepared accurately and on time.
- Review title insurance commitments and related documents.
- Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, and real estate agents to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Collaborate with lenders, real estate agents, lawyers and other company closers and title examiners on transactional and title issues encountered on specific transactions
- Perform basic math calculations related to closing costs, disbursements, and prorations.
- Prepare closing statements and perform residential closings.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions and documentation for auditing purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the escrow process, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial services and real estate transactions.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of real estate transactional experience with direct customer contact.
- A proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- The ability to proactively address and resolve issues heading into a real estate closing.
- A good understanding of Florida real estate closing procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability, and an ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Strong customer service, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
- Book of business is highly incentivized.
- Licensed Title Agent a plus
