First Pres is looking for a Classic Worship Coordinator (CWC) to help create and sustain inspiring, high-quality worship experiences at First Presbyterian Church. This role combines administrative, musical, and organizational skills to support weekly worship services and special events. This part-time role is ideal for someone 1-3 year’s experience coordinating and securing instrumental musicians, managing the sanctuary music library, preparing music for Sunday ensembles, and assisting with communion logistics.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/ GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor of arts or science degree from an accredited institution preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two year’s experience working in worship and music or a similar environment.
- Experience working with various instrumental ensembles and/or vocal groups, preferably in a church setting.
- Proven track record of successful teamwork and desire to follow other’s leadership.
Position Requirements:
- Partners with the Classic Worship team members to provide excellence in implementing a clear and compelling vision for inspiring, high-quality worship at First Presbyterian Church.
- Through administrative and musical gifting, this position supports the Classic Worship team to develop and support worship on a weekly basis.
- Assists the Classic Worship team in coordinating and securing instrumental musicians for Sunday services and other events.
- Prepares instrumental folders for Sunday ensembles and other worship musicians as added at the direction of the Classic Worship Director and Assistant Classic Worship Director.
- Assist in sanctuary setup and teardown for worship services and other special events.
- Other duties as applicable to the position or to advance the ministry of First Pres.
