Job Summary
The part-time Youth Director will plan, guide, and assist the youth programs at the church covering ages from middle school to college age.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead all youth group meetings on Sunday evenings. Coordinate volunteers with the program.
- Support youth education curriculum for youth programs. Help ensure that any volunteers with the program have the resources needed for their activities.
- Serve as an adult chaperone for youth and adults, including Worship & Music and Youth conferences at Montreat Camp and Conference Center in North Carolina.
- Serve as a member of the Christian Education (CE) Committee
- Collaborate with the staff and CE Committee to coordinate activities, events, and opportunities for youth.
- Promote activities in the church with articles in the VOICE newsletter and on social media.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
- Experience in event planning and execution to engage youth effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with youth, families, and community members.
- A demonstrated ability to lead groups effectively while fostering an inclusive environment for all participants.
