Job Summary
Local church is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper (20 hours per week) to administer and oversee all accounting functions of the church. The ideal candidate has experience in non-profit or church financial management and is detail-oriented, organized and aligned with our mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial software and data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Process accounts payable, including invoices, reimbursements, and vendor records.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare financial statements.
- Oversee payroll processing, including tax reporting and employee benefits administration.
- Maintain records for unrestricted, restricted, and endowment contributions.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Experience in church or non-profit bookkeeping, including financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as ACS or QuickBooks.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
