Job Summary:
First Presbyterian Church Sunday is a growing, inclusive church in Greenville, NC. We seek to create an environment for children that is engaging, welcoming, and safe.
We're looking for teachers that are kind and connect with children while also being flexible and consistent with their schedule and clear in their communications with staff and parents.
Our teachers are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating faith based environment for children in our care. Your role will involve supervising and engaging with children, implementing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring their well-being.
Duties:
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities to promote physical, social, and intellectual development
- Create a positive and supportive faith based environment where children can learn and grow
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families
- Assist with snack preparation and feeding as needed
- Change diapers, assist with potty training, and ensure proper hygiene practices
- Monitor children's behavior and implement appropriate behavior management techniques when necessary
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment
Skills:
- Experience in toddler care, nannying, babysitting, or daycare settings
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities is a plus
- Ability to educate and engage children through creative play and learning experiences
- First aid certification is preferred but not required
- Strong classroom management skills to ensure a structured environment
