Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant / Office Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and assisting with various tasks. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Duties
_ Primary_
- Provide front desk support, greeting visitors and managing incoming calls.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic documents.
- Assist in event planning, coordinating logistics, and managing schedules for meetings and appointments.
- Manage calendars for pastor and committees, ensuring all appointments are scheduled efficiently.
- Support church committees and the pastor by preparing reports and maintaining office supplies.
- Handle clerical duties such as data entry, correspondence, and document management.
- Communicate effectively with the pastor, church committees and church members.
_ Secondary / Optional_
- Perform general accounting functions in coordination with church treasurer.
- Receive and process financial church receivables.
- Work with finance committee during monthly meetings, yearly stewardship and budgeting process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office 365) and familiarity with business computer / Microsoft Windows.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 36 per week
