Job Description:
The First Presbyterian Church of Martinsville is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Director to lead our early childhood program for children ages 1-4. This part-time position will require a commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children while ensuring the program aligns with our church’s values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a high-quality educational environment.
- Support and supervise teaching staff, providing guidance and resources as needed.
- Communicate effectively with the church and with parents regarding their child's development and preschool activities.
- Liaise with church leadership to align the preschool’s mission with the church's objectives.
- Manage enrollment processes to ensure optimum class sizes and diversity.
- Create and manage the preschool budget, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and responsibly.
- Develop programs and curriculum that promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) is required.
- Previous experience in early childhood education or program management preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and church staff.
