Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and provide solutions.
- Write comprehensive financial reports for management review.
- Utilize Quicken software for bookkeeping and financial management tasks.
- Apply knowledge of securities law and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations in relevant accounting practices.
- Mentor junior staff in accounting procedures and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial accounting, with a solid understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger functions.
- Familiarity with account analysis techniques and financial report writing is essential.
- Experience with Quicken or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated to complete individual tasks effectively.
