What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner - Converting position at First Quality?
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner- Converting for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Anderson, SC. Maintenance Planners are responsible for the planning and tracking of all equipment maintenance using work orders and Infor. Come join a high performance team, where our Culture defines who we are. Primary responsibilities include:
- Principal contact person between maintenance department and all other plant departments.
- Responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning.
- Ensures effective utilization of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Audit work orders for accuracy and feedback results to Operations, the Maintenance Supervisor, and Scheduler
- Prepares planned work order backlog printout and emailed 24 hours before scheduling meeting
- Write purchase requisitions for non-stock parts and materials needed to perform work
- Order storeroom items through CMMS, track status and identifies appropriate location for deliveries
- Ensure work orders are properly closed in the CMMS
- Training team members in the use of the CMMS
- Enters history changes on completed work into the CMMS
- Assist in entering SOP’s, SMP’s, JHA’s, Standing Work Orders, and PM’s are entered into CMMS correctly
- Ensures effective utilization and optimization of the Reliability Work System (RWS)
- Facilitates the Weekly Planning meeting ensures all safety, preventive, and predictive task are ready to schedule and high priority. Ensures all corrective actions entered in to the CMMS system from inspection rounds are planned and ready to schedule in a timely manner.
- Develops detailed job plans and effectively communicates plans to the individual that will complete the work, and maintains documentation for repairs
- Secures and manages contracted services as required
- Follows procedures that support compliance to the repair budget
- Secures materials for repair
- Manages Contractors as required.
- Interfaces with Production, Engineering, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Reliability departments.
- Attends production meetings to coordinate work order backlog with production supervisors so that all work requiring downtime can be scheduled on a planned conditioning.
- Schedules a full day’s work for all daily work schedules and planned outages.
- Maintains a manageable work order backlog and completes all work orders in (CMMS) in a timely manner.
- Performs other tasks and assignments as requested by the maintenance supervisor.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience (preferably in and industrial environment and in tissue/towel production).
- SAP experience is preferred
- CMMS experience is preferred
- Possess a fundamental understanding of the planning and scheduling of maintenance work functions as they apply to predictive, preventive, precision, proactive, and planned maintenance.
- Advanced comprehension of the equipment mechanical/electrical functions.
