About the Role:
The Processing Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate loan processing from application to closing. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth mortgage industry knowledge, and the ability to streamline workflows for maximum efficiency.
The primary role of the Processing Manager is to support our Operations Team Members so that they can provide Exceptional Service to our clients and agent partners. We need a candidate that can lead by example! The Processing Manager should be highly skilled in both verbal and written communication, attention to detail, time management skills, integrity, and compassion. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of these skills, with Mortgage Loan Processing and Management experience required.

Key Details and Responsibilities:
- Full-time, on-site role (Anchorage office)
- Team Leadership & Development: Oversee and support loan processors, loan setup team, and admin staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in hiring, onboarding, and offboarding employees while managing system access and credentials.
- Operational Oversight:
- Conduct quality control on initial loan approvals for new processors.
- Manage overflow processing and carry a small pipeline (5 loans).
- Monitor daily dashboards (capacity, turn times, tracking, red flags).
- Balance trust accounts monthly.
- Maintain and update procedures, manuals, and documentation.
- Team Engagement & Coordination:
- Lead weekly operations meetings.
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with team members.
- Manage morale, PTO, vacation requests, and team events.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work with Sales leadership to resolve conflicts between teams.
- Assist in planning operational events and initiatives.
- Participate in weekly leadership strategy sessions.
- Performance & Compliance:
- Track and distribute monthly metrics.
- Execute performance improvement plans as needed.
- Oversee fingerprint access for the Anchorage office.
Qualifications:
- Mortgage loan processing or underwriting experience.
- Leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products, guidelines, and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems and processing software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
