The Department of Administration, Shared Services of Alaska is recruiting for a Data Processing Manager 2 in Anchorage or Juneau !

What You Will Be Doing : This position directs a data team that delivers essential operational services to Shared Services of Alaska's (SSOA's) programmatic components, focusing on the management of the division's data, reporting, and software infrastructure. The incumbent oversees data projects that align with SSOA's strategic mission of providing efficient, cost-effective, and customer focused services. Responsibilities include : data management, data reporting, project management supervision, and other duties assigned to support the division's objectives.

The Working Environment You Can Expect :

This position is offered in Juneau and Anchorage with an option of a hybrid telework schedule. Our offices are beautiful, modern, and are centrally located in the Anchorage Atwood Building and in the Juneau State Office Building.

  • Supervision : Plans, distributes, and monitors work assignments; sets task priorities; evaluates work performance and provides feedback to others on their performance; ensures that staff are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner. Assignments include the authority and responsibility to recommend or independently take action to employ (i.e., appoint, transfer, promote), discipline or discharge, or adjudicate grievances of direct reports.

Any combination of education and / or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in :

    Special Note

    Positions may be identified as being significantly involved in the following options : operations; programming / analysis; specialized support, such as technical services, data communications, data base (DBMS) administration information management, etc. Systems software and hardware used must have been equivalent in size and complexity to computer systems used by the State of Alaska.
