The Outpatient Program Director is responsible for the coordination, planning, design, development, delivery and evaluation / continuous improvement of outpatient(in-person and online) clinical programming for the First Responder Wellness Program; and for providing clinical and administrative direction for licensed and non-licensed clinicians / providers. The Outpatient Program Director is responsible for demonstrating clinical savvy in all areas. Providing sound judgment in organizational skills, leadership, problem-solving, listening, delegation and open and honest decision-making. Will ensure the program contributes to the company’s vision of providing quality care and recovery services for behavioral health clients that comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Position will be based in Riverside, Training will be Newport Beach, Traveling between multiple sites required
Responsibilities :
- Collaborates with the Executive Director, Clinical Supervisor and members of the clinical team to determine continuum of care for program participants.
- Directs program clinical staff in the day-to-day provision of family-focused, trauma-informed mental health and substance abuse services to the in-patient treatment community.
- Provides individual, family and group counseling and participates in case conferences.
- Reviews curricula and other program materials for clinical appropriateness and approves the acquisition of all new curricula and other programming materials.
- Ensures that clinical staff have been adequately trained in the use of any curriculum being delivered to clients.
- Directly, and through subordinate staff, supervises the assessment of all newly arrived clients; supervises clinical staff in scheduling all clients into treatment activities; assigns caseloads; and monitors and evaluates clinicians in the performance of their duties.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Supervisor in quality assurance of all clinical documentation (treatment progress, treatment plans, and client coordination of care plan) and conducts regular quality assurance and quality improvement reviews to ensure that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis.
- Assesses and evaluates staff and submits completed forms accurately and timely; develops methods to use and enhance strengths and to isolate and minimize weaknesses.
- Provides ongoing client assessment, as needed.
- Conducts regular chart reviews, ensuring that all appropriate record-keeping is performed on a timely basis and that all governing agency regulations are met.
- Attends meetings and participates in discussions concerning the revision, improvement and expansion of existing programs and offers recommendations.
- Participates in quality assurance, quality improvement and utilization review activities and makes recommendations to the Clinical Supervisor for plans of corrections.
- Responsible for development and supervision of clinical staff by assisting with hiring, evaluation, training, disciplinary actions, and termination to ensure the department is stable with competent individuals who provide services to align with Company’s vision.
- Maintains established performance and conduct standards in accordance with organizational expectations.
- Monitors the external environment for changes relevant to the company by keeping up to date with new laws and regulations.
- Maintain clinical program’s compliance with Department of Healthcare Services and Joint Commission standards by working closely with the Executive Director
- Other duties as requested and required.
