We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineer to lead and oversee land development projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Civil Engineer with 10 years of experience who excels in project management, technical expertise, and team leadership. The right candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, exceptional client management skills, and a passion for business development.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership :
Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex land development projects.
Manage project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
Coordinate with municipalities, clients, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
Act as the main client contact, ensuring expectations are met throughout the project.
Technical Expertise :
Oversee site grading, drainage, roadway, utility, and structural design.
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, federal, and international codes and safety regulations.
Utilize advanced engineering software like Civil 3D and GIS to develop high-quality designs.
Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle engineering challenges.
Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative technologies into workflows.
Team Development :
Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Provide technical leadership and career development support to team members.
Client Relationship Management :
Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert insights to enhance project success.
Business Development :
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s project portfolio.
Collaborate on proposals, participate in client presentations, and help secure new projects.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Professional Engineering - PE license required ).
10 years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage large-scale projects.
Strong technical expertise in civil engineering principles and best practices.
Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
Experience with business development, including proposals and client presentations.
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
