Summary
The Marketing and Event Coordinator will be responsible for working with other team members to assist in strategizing and implementing the overall marketing and events plan for the banks under the umbrella of the holding company. This may include brand management, website creation, event management, newspaper ads, direct mail via Adobe Desktop design, social media and media management. This position also serves as a both a designer and writer for marketing materials; including collateral, social media and other types of media and campaigns.
Responsibilities
Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as events, direct mail, email, social media, public relations and content marketing. Also assists with day to day marketing activities as assigned by the Marketing Director.
Duties include:
- Management of each bank’s brand standards, logo library, etc.
- Managing bank and community events, including overseeing logistics, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, ordering marketing materials and supplies, maintaining a list of RSVPs and onsite management.
- Coordinating marketing campaigns, including printing, copying, scheduling, testing, and database management.
- Creating, proofreading, and editing copy for various marketing channels, ensuring consistent voice.
- Assisting with developing and managing content and social media marketing programs.
- Assist with developing and managing website and intranet content.
- Evaluating and monitoring campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating comprehensive reports.
- Managing relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs, and to ensure competitiveness.
- Assisting with conducting market research and identifying trends.
- Assisting with the creation and management of branch merchandising.
- Evening and weekend hours required for both onsite and offsite event management.
Qualifications
- Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in advertising, marketing or event management required. Equivalent combination or education and experience will be considered.
- Bank or financial marketing experience a plus.
Skills and Abilities
- Must have flexibility to work evening and weekend events as required.
- Experience developing marketing materials in Adobe Creative Suite Products with emphasis on Desktop design, Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required.
- Adobe Premiere and After Effects experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of social media advertising and Google Adwords a plus.
- Working knowledge of websites (CMS systems, SEO, etc.) and Google Analytics a plus.
- Ability to update website content (knowledge of HTML a plus).
- Firm grasp on various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including social, digital, and email marketing.
- Basic understanding of demographics and media buying ability.
- Must have a high level of creativity.
- Must have strong analytical skills to in order to analyze metrics and create reports.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong writing skills to craft and edit emails, advertising text, brochures, promotional materials, programs. Also, outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
- Professional qualities should include solid business judgment/decision making ability, delivers on commitments, able to work and deliver a high quantity of quality results under time constraints, time management skills, oral/written communication skills, including public speaking ability.
- Personal qualities should include being a self-starter, results driven, self-motivated, enthusiasm, ambition, drive, tenacity, empathy, compassion, sense of humor, articulate, high degree of integrity, intellect and innovative.

- Must be able to travel between bank locations and event sites as needed, as well as deliver direct mail materials to the post office.
