EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 -2 years of relevant banking, or professional experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Retail Banker and Retail Banking Specialist functions preferred.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Adhere to strict privacy regarding customer account information. Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a high level of integrity with understanding of the Bank’s policy and procedures and ensure all actions performed are in compliance with government regulations.
- Provide customers with exceptional customer service and execute operational excellence by; greeting every customer with a smile, maintaining eye contact, calling them by name, staying connected in conversation and letting them know they are appreciated.
- Ensure accounts are set up properly according to customer expectations and internal guidelines. Recognize problems that could have customer or regulatory impact and inform management.
- Support critical compliance functions including, but not limited to, BSA, Reg D, Reg DD, Reg Q, etc.
- Compare documentation to daily new account reports. Follow up with Retail Banking Specialist on all missing documents (via Check It).
- Track customer profile and account error(s) data in Check It.
- Identify and review customer account data making corrections, deletions, reentering data, resolving discrepancies and/or returning incomplete documents to the Retail Banking Specialist for corrections.
- Assist Retail Banking Specialist and other staff with all aspects of customer service responsibilities.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly A2i reports. Communicate to Retail Banking Specialist for correcting issues found on A2i reports.
- Display working knowledge of Retail Banking Specialist procedures and responsibilities in order to offer support to retail team to include research and problem-solving abilities.
- Prepare new account signature cards, checking and savings accounts, CD and IRAs opened each day. Process any revised signature cards.
- Verify all “CIP” information is received on all customers according to procedures.
- Ability to articulate effectively with customers and bank employees by answering questions in person or on the telephone and refer customers to other bank services as necessary.
- Ability to logically comprehend and execute detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret and comprehend short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and present information one-on-one with customers or employees.
- Ability to use mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers) is required.
- Operate computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, and copier. Basic computer skills including knowledge in MS Office, Outlook, typing, 10-key and the internet. Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel is preferred. Proficiency with internal bank software will be required.
- Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, work cooperatively with other co-workers. Therefore, reliable transportation and the ability to travel to work-related events is required.
- Willing to work extended hours, if necessary, to complete projects.
- Complete all online compliance Teal Training courses in a timely manner.
- Attend FSB Teller Training School Preferred
- Management will determine when employees attend training.
- Work location and/or additional duties may be assigned or required by management.
