POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility is to assist the Branch Manager in providing an exceptional experience to our membership by promoting the mission, lending philosophy and values of the organization. Coach and develop staff to identify opportunities to improve our members’ financial lives through counseling and education. Lead the sales team to successfully offer products and services using the needs based sales approach. Maintain a high level of quality standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the overall management of the branch –may step in for Branch Manager in their absence.
- Assists the Branch Manager with the overall operational function of the branch, cross-sells products and services to members to enhance overall member relationship. Assists in coaching staff to enhance the member experience.
- Provides guidance and effective feedback to MSR Supervisor in dealing with any performance issues when necessary.
- Assists with loan administration as needed; reviews loan applications and makes loan recommendations and lending decisions within predetermined lending authority.
- Provides general credit union lending information to members. Assures all types of loans are prepared and documented in accordance with current credit union policy.
- Ensures the branch staff has met all compliance standards by reviewing branch operational procedures with overall credit union policy; may perform periodic audits of cash drawers, procedures, and lending functions.
- Keeps branch staff informed regarding changes in procedures or policies affecting branch operations and ensures that staff is updated in a timely manner.
- Shares responsibility for all aspects of security and maintenance of the branch office’s property and equipment.
- Delivers New Hire MSR Training and as well as monitors the Member Service MSR Mentor program in conjunction with the Training and Development Manager
- Required to participate in First Source Federal Credit Union events as well as designated Community events.
- Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy.
- Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training or departmental training as needed, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy.
- Notary license required.
- Must be registered under the SAFE Act Guidelines as established in 2011
- Required to attend training sessions as appropriate.
- Required to travel as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
