We are seeking an Accounting Associate who will take full ownership of payroll operations and play a vital role in the companys accounting function. This individual must have hands-on experience with Deltek / ComputerEase, especially in payroll and timekeeping, and will be responsible for processing accurate payroll, managing records, and supporting related financial tasks.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Accounting Associate who will take full ownership of payroll operations and play a vital role in the companys accounting function. This individual must have hands-on experience with Deltek / ComputerEase, especially in payroll and timekeeping, and will be responsible for processing accurate payroll, managing records, and supporting related financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees using ComputerEase
- Maintain accurate employee timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws
- Support payroll tax filings and year-end processes (W-2s, 1099s, etc.)
- Collaborate with HR for onboarding, changes in employment status, and benefits deductions
- Assist with related accounting duties including reconciliations, reporting, and data entry
- Help maintain employee records for audit and compliance
- Work closely with CPA and AR/AP for various accounting needs
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in a construction or similar environment
- ComputerEase (Deltek) experience is required
- Familiarity with payroll tax law and best practices
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy and discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting or business preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to business changes
