Accounting Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, with a keen interest in developing their skills in financial management. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with account reconciliations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports to support management decision-making.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Process journal entries and maintain documentation for all financial transactions.
• Utilize financial software, including Rent Manager, to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the public accounting team during audits and assist in preparing necessary documentation.

Experience

• Familiarity with general ledger accounting principles and practices is essential.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with a solid understanding of account reconciliation processes.
• Experience with journal entries and basic financial management tasks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and budgeting practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in using financial software; experience with Rent Manager is highly desirable.
