Job Title: Events/Marketing Coordinator Department: Operations
Supervisor Title: VP/Marketing Officer Reporting Relationships: Senior Management/ President
Type of Position: Full time; Hours 8 am – 5 pm Monday- Friday; Occasional travel may be required
General Summary
The Events/Marketing Coordinator is charged with being the lead with any First State Bank & Trust (aka, “bank’) event – on or off site and in relation to all branches. From researching future event opportunities to maintaining a calendar of established events. This position also involves the coordination of miscellaneous marketing duties as needed and assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the key contact for the bank regarding any planned or future events.
- Be the key liaison with the community and region as events are developed and executed.
- Continuously research event opportunities that can provide the bank with beneficial exposure and market reach.
- Recruit and organize event committees and lead planning sessions.
- Coordinate promotion and publicity around events – before and after the event is held.
- Coordinate various marketing functions for all branches, including community donations, signage, developing and producing branded items for internal and external purposes, developing and producing marketing communications/pieces (electronic and printed), show booth development and management, creating an annual marketing calendar for All Bank use, manage branded inventory in Supply Room, monitor bank web site and social media for necessary response and adjustments.
- Promote bank products and services.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Experience producing and promoting events; exposure to marketing strategies and methods is a plus.
- Proficient/effective marketing writing skills; proven organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal bank team and external resources to achieve objectives.
- Ability to work cooperatively and flexibly with internal departments to achieve their marketing goals.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
- Represent the bank in a professional manner.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential.
