First State Urgent Vet is a privately owned, veterinary urgent care practice in Wilmington, DE, and we are looking for candidates to work at our practice! Urgent veterinary care combines the best of general practice and emergency medicine.
We are accepting applicants for part time veterinary receptionists (CSRs). Our receptionists are a vital part of our team who are the masters of multitasking and keep everything running like clockwork .
What will you do on a typical day?
- Communicating with clients.
- Updating client information
- Assessing the needs of the patient and/or reason for the visit; including patient triage.
- Answering multiple telephone lines and managing our online waitlist
- Checking clients in and out, including financial transactions and basic accounting and cash handling.
- Computer operation, data entry, daily reports.
- Front office area maintenance and cleaning.
Successful applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a patient demeanor in dealing with the public, displaying a "people person" attitude, and a good sense of humor. Our receptionists must be able to work evenings and weekends, and they are expected to master a certain amount of veterinary medical knowledge, as well as be able to answer client questions and communicate patient needs.
Applicants must be able to perform well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 1-year of veterinary experience is required. We offer competitive hourly wages, 401K matching, discounts on pet services, and a uniform allowance. Salary will be based on experience.
