Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Youth Sports Compliance Manager to ensure that our youth sports programs & staff adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. This position will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of the organization’s operations, ensuring the safety and well-being of youth participants, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal standards.


The Youth Sports Compliance Manager will collaborate with various teams, including coaches, administrators, and other stakeholders, to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within all youth sports programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of youth sports regulations, risk management, and best practices for child safety.


Key Responsibilities:


Policy Development & Implementation:

Develop, review, and implement policies to ensure adherence to compliance standards for all youth sports programs.

Regularly update and communicate changes in local, state, or national regulations affecting youth sports.

Ensure all youth sports programs meet or exceed legal, ethical, and safety standards.


Compliance Audits & Monitoring:

Conduct regular compliance audits to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Monitor sports activities, coaches, and volunteers to ensure compliance with safety standards, background checks, and training requirements.

Develop and implement a system to track program compliance and address any discrepancies or non-compliance issues.


Training & Education:

Coordinate and conduct training programs for coaches, staff, and volunteers on regulatory compliance, safety, child protection, and ethics in sports.

Provide ongoing education to stakeholders on the latest best practices in youth sports management and compliance.


Risk Management & Incident Reporting:

Oversee the risk management program for all youth sports activities, ensuring proper insurance coverage and safety protocols are in place.

Investigate and resolve any incidents or accidents involving youth participants, coaches, or volunteers.

Develop and maintain incident reporting procedures to ensure all accidents, injuries, or compliance issues are properly documented and addressed.


Liaison with Governing Bodies:

Act as the main point of contact between the organization and regulatory bodies, ensuring that all youth sports programs adhere to the appropriate governing standards.

Stay informed on the latest regulations and compliance requirements from local, state, and national sports organizations.


Compliance Reporting:

Prepare and submit regular reports on the status of compliance across all youth sports programs.

Address any non-compliance issues, working with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.


Stakeholder Communication:

Serve as a resource for questions and concerns from parents, coaches, athletes, and other stakeholders related to compliance matters.

Promote transparency and trust by providing clear communication on compliance initiatives and updates.


Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in sports program management, compliance, or regulatory affairs (youth sports experience is highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of youth sports regulations, child safety laws, and compliance standards.
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and training programs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Work Environment & Schedule

  • Location: Remote with flexible hours
  • Travel: Occasional commute to company headquarters in Irvine/Santa Ana
  • Job Type: Part-time
  • Compensation: $38.83 - $43.33 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 3 – 10 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
