About the Role
First United Methodist Church - Preschool is looking for a teachers assistant for our 2025-26 school year, starting in August. The ideal candidate will have an interest and love of working with children and be able to act as a role model and inspire students to achieve their own levels of success in a play based atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Work along side Lead Teacher implement Teachers lessons plans
- Patience and willingness to console children that are at school for the first time
- Work with students to create appropriate learning experiences that foster student growth
- Prepare classroom materials (e.g., posters, crafts, games, videos, etc.)to help promote student engagement and learning
- Ensure classroom safety by maintaining a safe environment and following safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Assistants - High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred - Colorado Shines Level 1
- Experience working with preschoolers
- Background check and Fingerprinting will be done as part of the hiring process
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 22 per week
