Director of Ministry
(Position available starting June 1, 2025)
The Director of Ministry will lead the ministry programs at Kirksville First United Methodist Church, Missouri (FUMC), cultivating a vibrant, inclusive, and Christ-centered community.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Senior Pastor to develop and implement the ministry program, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and values of FUMC.
- Lead, supervise, and support the program staff and college interns.
- Provide resources for spiritual formation and discipleship for children, youth and their families.
- Develop and equip volunteers through training and ongoing support
- Lead children's time or other parts in worship according to a schedule coordinated with the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications:
- A collaborative team player who aligns with and supports the church's vision, values, and mission.
- Flexible, coachable, and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-paced ministry environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and support both staff and volunteers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. A degree in ministry, leadership, or communication is preferred.
Compensation:
- Starting Salary: $45.000 - $50.000
