Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on guest preferences and server availability.
• Assist guests with reservations and provide accurate wait time estimates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.
• Utilize the Aloha POS system for managing reservations and guest information.
• Provide assistance to servers during busy periods as needed, including helping with food service tasks.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout the dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help guests have an enjoyable experience.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $11.50 - $13.00 per hour
