Director of Credit Position Overview
Senior-level role providing leadership and strategic insight on all aspects of credit policy, process, planning, and team building. Manage to high standards of the Credit department metrics and recognize and leverage new tools that assist in more efficient and improved outcomes.
- Direct team to accurately input and adjudicate full range of credit applications
- Lead preparation and then presentation of large credit requests (<$500k) for committee approval
- Oversee continual improvement of policy and procedures, including use of technology, for successful and accurate application adjudication and transaction completion
- Assess and recommend, as needed, assessment tools and score card(s)
- Create and manage processes for identifying borrower profiles to guide additional sales opportunities
- Create and communicate new credit policy features as needed
- Present Credit Department metrics and issues at Monthly Manager¡¦s Meeting
- Interface with Collections and Customer Service departments to be aware of trends, issues, and process errors
- Update documentation language, format and other legalities and formatting, as needed
- Prepare and present annual review and goals at annual meeting
Director of Credit Qualifications
- Background in commercial credit adjudication
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher
- Financial statement analysis
- Aptitude in use of technology

- Basic skills in software and computers
- Professionally communicate with management, staff, and public
- Handle confidential information with discretion
