About the job :
This position within the On Depot Maintenance (ODM) team at Reading Train Care Depot is pivotal to the safe and efficient running of Reading TCD and its associated satellite locations. You will report to the Senior Production Manager daily and be ultimately accountable for the Plant and Infrastructure performance.
The Plant and Facilities Team Leader will have oversight of plant management at Reading Depot and the London Thames Valley satellite locations (Cocklebury, West Ealing Light Maintenance Depot, Oxford Up carriage sidings and Redhill).
They will be responsible for ensuring all plant and facilities remain operational and compliant with statutory health and safety requirements. They will lead the ODM team at Reading Depot and ensure resource is suitably tasked to ensure all requirements are correctly completed.
Your main responsibilities will be :
- Leading the plant team to ensure the availability and statutory compliance of Reading Depot and satellite locations plant and infrastructure.
- Driving Continuous improvement in your areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring robust maintenance plans are in place
- Setting and achieving the highest standards
- Management of contractors

As a minimum, you will need to have :
Preferably NEBOSH / IOSH trained.
About the location :
You will be based at Reading Train Care Depot with travel to off-site satellite locations periodically required.
Working Pattern :
This is a day shift role based both in the office with shop floor work to assist the team as required, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the role, `there may be a requirement for some out of hours working. This is an on-call commitment involved with this role.
