Job Summary :
This individual will maintain and enhance the organizations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
This person will also act as a back up Care Taker for clients when their is a need.
Human Resource Generalist responsibilities include :
Essential job duties include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
Understand and adhere to established FirstLight policies and procedures. Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counsel managers on candidate selection; conduct and analyze exit interviews; recommend internal changes, etc.Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programsMaintain a salary plan by conducting periodic salary surveys; scheduling / conducting job evaluations; preparing salary surveys; conducting job evaluations; preparing salary budgets; monitoring / scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by the supervisor to coach and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; receive and resolve employee grievances; counsel employees and supervisors.Maintain employee benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting communication / educational procedures on benefit programs.Ensure compliance and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and requirements by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource policies and procedures; conduct investigations; maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings, if applicable. Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing system.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societiesPerform orientation and trainingParticipate as requested in the quality assurance reviews and evaluations of the agencys servicesOrganize and implement the employee performance assessment processStay current with changing technology, including software programsUphold, support, and promote all company policies and proceduresThe ideal candidate will have :

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical schoolOne to three years of related recruiting or human resources experience and / or trainingProficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite required.PHR or SHRM-CP- preferredAbility to read and understand short instructions, correspondence, and memosAbility to effectively communicate through written and verbal languageAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organizationDemonstrated ability in or application of organizational / communication skillsAbility to deal effectively with high levels of stress.Ability to enlist the cooperation of many people in furthering a program
