Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care and support to clients in their homes.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with memory care needs and promote their well-being.
- Ensure client safety and comfort while maintaining their dignity.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals about client needs and progress.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Encourage social interaction and engagement in activities that promote mental stimulation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices and techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and how to assist clients effectively.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed; physical stamina is important.
- Basic first aid knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with resident rights and assisted living environments is beneficial.
