As a Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate support and assistance to clients in their homes. This position is essential in helping individuals maintain their independence while ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for clients.
- Monitor patients' health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs.
- Document care provided accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and report changes effectively.
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to maintain a clean environment for clients.
