Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Medication reminders and monitor health conditions as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to supervisors.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and their families to build trust and rapport.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in caregiving is required.
- CPR certification is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while respecting clients' dignity and independence.
- Experience in long-term care or assisted living environments is a plus.
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying client needs and schedules.
