Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Administer first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Support clients with memory care and dementia care strategies to enhance their cognitive function and well-being.
- Assist with hospice care when necessary, providing comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Advocate for resident rights, ensuring that clients are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Experience in hospice care or direct support roles is preferred.
- Proficient in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Understanding of memory care practices and dementia-related challenges.
