Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence and ensuring their well-being.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental condition
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
