In 1998, FirstLine Schools started the first charter school in New Orleans. FirstLine now operates five K-8th grade schools . Our mission is to create and inspire great open admissions public schools in New Orleans.

Position Summary
The Benefits Manager is responsible for administering employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and providing outstanding support to employees regarding their benefits. The role encompasses health, wellness, retirement plans, and overseeing the entire open enrollment process. Additionally, the Benefits Manager collaborates with the HR team to implement strategies aligned with employee well-being and retention goals. Key responsibilities include vendor management, benefit payments reconciliation, and ensuring accurate records management within HR systems. Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Initial Onboarding
Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires, providing guidance on healthcare, retirement, and wellness programs. Assist with benefit enrollment, answering questions, and helping employees make informed decisions.
Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement offerings.
Support offboarding employees with COBRA information, final payroll, and benefits-related items.
