Accounts Payable Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage a full cycle accounts payable team to ensure prompt and accurate processing and distribution of cash disbursements in a high-volume environment
• Consolidate decentralized A/P process into Norcross
• Implement solutions to reduce manual processing and increase efficiency and productivity.
• Maximize participation of supplier billing via EDI
• Vendor Master File consolidation & audit
• Enhance & automate three-way match
• Drive highest levels of customer service, consistently meet all SLAs
• Transition away from company-paid credit cards to a reimbursement model
• Implement KPIs and detailed monthly reporting package
• Ensure the payables system is accurately closed on a timely basis each month
• Research and resolve A/P system issues in conjunction with the IT department
• Ensure timely reconciliation of the G/L payables accounts to the sub ledger
• Enhance effectiveness of supplier reconciliations and timely application of credits

Job Requirements:

• 8 to 10 years management experience
• 10 years of experience in accounts payable at the corporate level
• Prior office consolidation experience
• Experience moving between company-paid credit cards and a reimbursement model
• Detail oriented with strong accounting and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven people and organizational skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Office software at a high level
• Superior management skills: ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
• Strong mentoring, and coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise
