Position: Accounting Manager

A dynamic and growing firm in Reading, PA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring the accurate and timely production of financial reports, and maintaining comprehensive account records to drive the financial success of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and leadership within a manufacturing or similar industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring that all reporting and control systems are aligned with the parent company’s policies and procedures.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring the timely preparation and accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage the General Ledger, ensuring proper maintenance and accuracy in all accounting entries.
- Take responsibility for the Fixed Asset Ledger and oversee capital spending processes to ensure proper capitalization and asset tracking.
- Lead the preparation and execution of the annual financial audit, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate in the development and maintenance of internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a strong financial control environment.
- Assist in the creation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic planning to support organizational growth and financial stability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably within a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with a track record of leading accounting teams.
