Job Summary
A firstPRO client in the chemical manufacturing space is seeking Controller for there team. This is a full time contract role through firstPRO, replacing someone who is retiring after three years of employment. This position is full time onsite for the first 3 months, then remote 1 day a week.
Position Summary:
- Analyze financial data related to manufacturing operations, focusing on cost structures, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide actionable insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Conduct product costing, pricing analysis, and margin evaluations.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate cost allocations.
- Track capital expenditure activities and assist in managing ongoing capital projects.
- Monitor and report on capital spending for open capital projects.
- Assist the Corporate Controller with ASC 842 compliance and tax-related matters concerning capital expenditures.
- Assist Corporate and Business Controllers in addressing audit-related inquiries and providing requested documentation.
- Support the Corporate Controller with tax-related analysis and assist in responding to tax requests.
