Equity Accountant:
Overview
This position will play a crucial role in elevating the Finance and Equity function to a world-class level.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Partner Finance & Global Payroll Service, the Equity Accountant will perform various accounting functions related to maintaining complete and accurate Equity accounts within the General Ledger. Due to the sensitive nature of all Partner information, the Equity Accountant must maintain an exceptionally high standard of confidentiality.
- Prepare various account reconciliations and analyses. Communicate and work with other departments to obtain information and resolve reconciling ledger items as needed.
- Maintain the infrastructure of the Capital activity (the Capital loan program) and various Capital worksheets.
- Conduct monthly analysis of miscellaneous Partners’ Equity activity (2,000 transactions annually); assist the mobility team and handle ad hoc Partner data requests.
- Evaluate various expense accounts to identify, research, and resolve any potential Partner-related costs.
- Perform monthly Partner benefit reconciliations, including health & welfare, retirement, and prepaid benefits.
- Assist with the monthly/year-end partner compensation process and analyze confidential Partner information (for various Partner requests) as well as partner income verification letters.
- Responsible for Equity document scanning and data organization within the secure partner information vault.
- Assist with various other ad hoc requests.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- 1-2 years of related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities.
- Superior computer software skills with particular expertise in Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Collaborative with a strong work ethic.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of information and discussions.
- Work in a self-directed manner, producing accurate, well-documented work often under time-sensitive deadlines.
