What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at firstPRO, Inc?
The Financial Analyst will be detail oriented, self-motivated and an analytical problem-solver who is capable of distilling large amounts of data into actionable insights. This individual will be tasked with understanding and analyzing financial data, have the know-how to drill into actual results and be able to explain any deviations from plan, and assist in developing forecasts for Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly Operating Review (QOR).
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end operating expense summaries for stakeholders and G/L adjustments as required.
Under limited supervision, provide insight to operating expense variance analyses to plan and versus prior year.
Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts..
Periodic updates of operating expense forecasts based on inputs from stakeholders
Provide routine analysis on company freight expenses and work closely with freight providers to ensure competitive rates.
Maintain company-wide FTE data in forecasting and consolidation system (Adaptive Insights).
Analyze, forecast, and report on operational metrics while highlighting key trends and areas of risk and opportunity.
Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports utilizing Microsoft Power BI and Adaptive Insights.
Work with corporate functional leaders to develop new insights and analysis utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
Collaborate with international subsidiaries to produce monthly qualitative analysis.
Increase productivity by developing automated reporting / forecasting tools.
Support development of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quarterly Operating Review (QOR) including preparing presentations for business leaders.
Provide support for the monthly close.
Ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with SAP, Power BI, and Adaptive Insights is a plus.
Detail oriented with the ability to learn quickly and solve problems .
Strong organizational skills and knowledge to manage tasks in light of competing priorities.
Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
1-3 years of experience in relevant roles.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
